Privacy
QRTagz is a registered Australian business (ABN 32 428 437 362). This page says plainly what we collect, why, and how you can have it cleared. If anything here doesn't match what you expected, email tags@qrtagz.com.au and we'll sort it out.
What's on the tag itself
A QR code and our web address. Nothing else — no name, no number, nothing that identifies you. Scanning it doesn't reveal who you are.
What we collect when you order
- ✓To make and post your order: your name, email, delivery address, and phone number if you give us one.
- ✓If you ask for custom text: whatever you tell us to print, and any notes you add.
- ✓Payment: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details — Stripe passes us only a confirmation that you've paid.
What we collect when a tag gets used
When your tag is scanned, the finder leaves a message and, if they choose to, a way to contact them. That gets emailed straight to you and stored against your code so you can read it again in Manage your tags. The finder never sees your name, email or phone number — there's no way for them to find out who you are from the tag or the page it opens.
Signing in
There are no accounts and no passwords. We email you a one-time link when you need to sign in; it expires after 30 minutes and works once. Signing in keeps you signed in on that device for 7 days.
What we don't do
- ✓We don't sell or share your details with anyone.
- ✓We don't run ad trackers or analytics scripts on this site.
- ✓We don't hand your contact details to a finder, ever — a message can only travel one way, to you.
Clearing your data
Sign in at Manage your tags and release your code — that immediately wipes your email, phone and note from it, and deletes every message ever left on it. The code goes blank and can be registered fresh by whoever gets your gear next.
The order record itself (what you paid, when, and where it was posted) is kept separately for our own business and tax record-keeping — Australian law requires businesses to keep sale records for several years. Releasing your code doesn't touch that; email us if you'd like to talk about it.
