Setting up your tags
Good news: there isn't much to do. The tags in your pack all carry your one code, and it's already registered to the email you ordered with.
The three steps
1 There's nothing to register
All your tags carry your one code, and it was registered to your email the moment you paid. Whichever tag gets scanned, the message comes to you.
2 Stick them on
Split ring, zip tie, whatever holds. Tag the gear you'd hate to replace first.
3 Set your note (optional)
One note covers every tag — "Site tools — call before moving them", "Reward offered". Use the link we emailed you, or sign in below any time.
Where to put them
- ✓Split ring or zip tie — through the hole, onto a handle, a strap, a case latch or the frame of a ladder.
- ✓Somewhere a phone can reach it — the QR needs to be scannable where the tag sits, so don't bury it under a strap.
- ✓The expensive stuff first — a handful of tags won't cover a whole ute, so start with what you'd hate to replace.
Your details are never shared. A finder never sees your name, your email or your phone number. They leave a message — and their own phone or email if they choose — and it comes straight to you. From there it's your call: you contact them, and you decide what you tell them. We never sell or share your details, and you can wipe them at any time.
Found something with a tag on it?
Scan the QR and leave a quick message — the owner gets it immediately. You don't need an account, and you won't see any of their details.
Questions
- ?How does the owner know what was found? The finder says so in their message — “found your drill at the site office” tells you everything you need.
- ?Sold the gear a tag is on? Peel the tag off, or leave it — a finder's message still just comes to you, and you can ignore it. Moving everything on? Release your code from your tags and every tag goes blank for the next owner.
- ?Changed your email? Update it on your tags — every tag keeps working.
